On August 21, 2019 we had a fun visit with the children at the Sunflower Orphanage. Sunflower is a loving home to mostly teenage orphans plus 2 toddlers. Located in the heart of Nha Trang, the caretakers provide a loving and nurturing home to the children.
We contacted the orphanage to learn of their most pressing needs and organized a visit. Our team brought boxes of noodles, bags of bean varieties, cans of condensed milk, shampoo, dish soap, laundry soap, new brooms, and new mops. After the children helped carry everything into the orphanage’s common room, we brought out a special treat. Out team brought all the ingredients for a sweet drink with jello. The children went into the kitchen and prepared the drinks, put them into cups, and made sure everyone got their treat. A very fun visit!
