Our February 2026 visit to the Anh Dao Orphanage was a heartwarming success! After coordinating closely with the caretakers to identify their most urgent needs, our volunteer team hit the local markets to stock up. From there, we made the drive north to Ninh Hoa with a van packed to the brim.

Delivering the Essentials

The children greeted us with high energy, eager to help our team carry the supplies into the common room. This month’s delivery focused on nutritious staples and essential hygiene items:

  • Pantry Staples: Bags of rice, vermicelli noodles, instant soups, and vegetable oil.
  • Protein & Fresh Foods: Tofu, bean curd sheets, vegan meats, varieties of mushrooms, and fresh eggs.
  • Seasonings: Fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, and various spices.
  • Childcare & Hygiene: Baby formula, diapers, shampoo, body wash, and laundry detergent.

A Sweet Surprise

Once the heavy lifting was done, it was time for some fun. We handed out ice cream popsicles to all the children—a simple treat that sparked a chorus of cheers and endless smiles.

This mission was made possible through the generous support of the Kinghurst Foundation. Your kindness ensures these children have the food and care they deserve. Thank you!

About the Anh Dao Orphanage

Established in 2004 by Buddhist nun Thich Nu An Son, the Anh Dao Orphanage is a safe haven for a large group of children in need. Located in Ninh Hoa, just 62 kilometers north of Nha Trang, this heartfelt home offers a structured and nurturing atmosphere where joy and kindness flourish. Visitors are always struck by the cheerful spirits of the children and the genuine delight of spending time talking, playing, and simply being present with them.

To support the children’s nourishment and help offset monthly expenses, Sister An Son cultivates a modest farm behind the orphanage, near the girls’ living quarters. The farm yields fresh vegetables that are served in daily meals, and any surplus is sold to contribute to the home’s upkeep. It’s a beautiful cycle of care, sustainability, and love in action.
