In February 2022 we brought lots of essential supplies to the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Vietnam has done fairly well regarding COVID, and everyone is still vigilant. Despite taking great care, some of the orphans at Sunflower came down with COVID. Fortunately, the teenagers were all vaccinated, and no one became terrible ill.

At the same time, we wanted to make sure the orphanage had everything they needed in terms of food and general supplies. We contacted the caretakers and made a detailed list of items they required. After buying everything at local markets, we arranged to have the supplies delivered to the orphanage. Because they were not allowing visitors, we asked the children to take pictures of the visit.

The teenagers brought all the supplies to the courtyard and stacked it all on a table. We brought milk, seasonings, detergent, dish soap, cooking oil, noodles, sugar, eggs, macaroni noodles, soy sauce, fish sauce, baskets, bowls, snacks,

As a fun treat, we also provided all the ingredients for homemade bubble tea. The children prepared it all in the kitchen, and everyone had a yummy drink!

This charity trip was made possible through the kindhearted donations from Daniel Cole, David Merwin, Linh Lam, An Nguyen, and Fred Sims. Thank you!!!
