In December 2017 we brought a Christmas party to the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children. Located in a peaceful country setting in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang, Thua Sai offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. We contacted the nuns and asked about their most pressing needs, and suggestions on what to give the children for Christmas.
Our team organized the visit, and drove out a few days before Christmas. For the home, we brought bags of rice, a bag of sticky rice, and a new desk. One of our volunteers was dressed as Santa, and we handed out Santa hats to the children. All the children got presents, and after opening their gifts, some put on their new clothes. We then organized a special lunch, and everyone sat down for a feast.
This visit was made possible through a kind donation from the Dickinson family with the message, “Merry Christmas from Australia!”
Thank you!!!
