On December 25, 2016 we brought Christmas to the Lac Thien Orphanage. Lac Thien is a loving home to many orphans to the north of Nha Trang. The nuns at Lac Thien care for orphans of many ages, and have several babies recently abandoned at the orphanage’s gates. The orphanage is dependent upon donations for survival, and we reached out to the nuns to learn their most pressing needs. They had a list of essential supplies that they needed, and our team bought everything on the list.
When our team of volunteers came to the orphanage, the children helped carry the supplies from the truck, and everyone donned fun Santa hats. The essential supplies included bags of rice, boxes of noodles, bags of beans, cooking oil, seasoning sauces, cleaning products, and new towels and washcloths. The children all received presents such as toys, clothes, backpacks, and games. It was a wonderful party!
This visit was made possible by the generous donations of a large group of people, including Dane Sawmiller, Anh Nguyen, Daniel Cole, Kim Nguyen, Thao Dinh, Alan and Anne Dickinson, an anonymous donation from an employee at Oracle Corp., and JL Support Services.
Thank you!!!
