On January 1, 2020 we finished up our holiday visits with a trip to the Khanh Son Charity Home, where we combined Christmas and New Year with a fun party. We worked with the nuns at the Home and began with a big New Year’s feast in the main common room. The tables were filled with yummy dishes and it was a grand party. We also brought Christmas presents for all the children, which they put under the Home’s Christmas tree. All of the children got a present and had lots of fun opening them up. The children also played some funny games they had learned in school. A great day with these amazing children!

This special charity trip was made possible through the kindness of Father Ambrose and the McDuffie family. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE KHANH SON CHARITY HOME

Located in the mountainous area to the southwest of Nha Trang, the Khanh Son Charity Home is a loving place that houses and cares for many of the community’s children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Some of the children stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall. The nuns provide a nurturing environment for all, ensure the children attend local public schools, and offer free daycare, kindergarten, and after-school tutoring lessons.
