In June 2025, our team made its monthly visit to the Thien Tam Orphanage, bringing not only essential supplies but also a special birthday surprise! The caretakers had provided us with a comprehensive list of their needs, and our volunteers purchased all the requested items at local markets before our visit. We also learned that one of the children had a birthday, so we made sure to bring a cake and presents for everyone to share in the celebration.
The supplies we delivered included a variety of food items such as meats, fish, rice, noodles, sugar, sausages, fresh vegetables, butter, canned meat, and duck eggs, along with condiments like oyster sauce, soy sauce, chocolate powder, tapioca flour, cooking oil, breading, curry powder, and various seasonings. In addition to food, we also provided much-needed toiletries and cleaning supplies, including body wash, shampoo, detergent, floor soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and bar soap.

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for a small group of adolescents and one baby.
