In November 2022 we had a fun visit to the Dai An Orphanage. In addition to bringing food and general supplies for the month, we also brought a special gift for the children who take music lessons, then had an arts and crafts party with the children.

We had contacted the caretakers at the orphanage about their needs for the month, and they provided us with a detailed shopping list. Our team bought everything on the list at local markets, and on the day of the visit, loaded up a van and drove out to the orphanage.

When we arrived, the children helped stack all the supplies and provisions next to the gardens, then everyone gathered around to see what we had brought. For monthly provisions, we brought shrimp, meat pies, ground pork, fish, fish pies, dried fish, lots of fresh vegetables, lots of fresh fruit, sugar, detergent, quail eggs, eggs, packages of macaroni noodles, flour, and shampoo.

There are some children at the orphanage that take music lessons at their school, and we received a special gift from a donor in Nha Trang: a keyboard for the students to practice. The music students went straight to the keyboard and started playing from their school sheet music. So lovely! As another fun surprise, we opened boxes of small statues and sets of paints. We then had a great arts and crafts party as the children painted their own unique creations. So fun!

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of Sharon Kelly, Stephen Milne, and Scott Huynh. The keyboard came from Zhang Yuhin. Thank you!!!
