In October 2022 we made our second visit to the recently discovered Ngoc Van Orphanage. We contacted the caretakers and said we would like to bring another allotment of food and general supplies for the month. They gave us a list of items the orphanage needed, and our team organized a charity trip.
After buying everything at local markets, we loaded up a van and drove into northern Khanh Hoa province. When our team arrived, the children were in the study room working on their homework. They were happy to take a break and came out to the main courtyard where we stacked the supplies. On this visit, we brought packages of milk, bottles of cooking oil, seasonings, fish sauce, sugar, diapers, dish soap, and laundry detergent.
Next, we brought out a cooler with frozen fruit snacks and cups of sweet drinks. The children all got their snacks and sat at the courtyard tables to enjoy. Before we left, the children eagerly helped carry all the supplies inside. So cute!
