On June 12, 2016 we came to a desperately poor community with gifts of kindness. Located in rugged terrain, the villages are not accessible by car, and are comprised primarily of the Raglai ethnic group. These families live in squalid conditions and eke out a living through farming. One elderly couple that we helped are both blind with no relatives in the village, and survive through help from other villagers.

We identified several households who lacked any bedding for the families, including the elderly and young children. Everyone in the family slept on the floor, sometimes with only a flimsy mat that had deteriorated into rags. Through kind donations, we brought 2 beds, 2 mattresses, 4 bedding sets, 2 fans, mosquito nets, lights, baby formula, and food supplies to 8 of the poorest families in the community. Our team had to traverse jungle trails and hills to reach the villages, and the warmth and affection of the families was heartwarming.

This trip was made possible by the Quan Am Foundation, Madam Boisson, Tam & Bang Do, and teenagers Leo Boisson and Alysha Sims.

Thank you!!!
