In March 2025 we sponsored a field trip to the beach for the children of the Nhan Ai Orphanage. We told the nuns that we wanted to do something special for the children this month and they had a great idea. The orphanage is located in Cam Ranh, which also has a popular beach with cafes and activities for visitors. They suggested bringing the children to the beach for a day of fun and games. We were excited to sponsor the trip!
On the big day, the children excitedly boarded buses and made the journey to the beach. The nuns organized games, rented some inflatable rafts to play in the shallows, and provided snacks. It was a beautiful day, and the children had so much fun!
For the month, we also arranged to have lots of food and general supplies delivered to the orphanage.
The field trip and monthly provisions for the orphanage were possible through donations from Steven Burger, Eamonn Gahan, and Pham Van Thuy Nguyen. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE NHAN AI ORPHANAGE
Founded in 1996 by Sister Nguyen Thi Bao Quyen, the Nhan Ai Orphanage resides behind the Giao Xu Phu Nhon Catholic Church in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang. The orphanage is run by the nuns of Nhan Ai and relies entirely upon donations, most of which come from people in the community. Nhan Ai is the largest orphanage that we assist and houses approximately 130 orphans in a wonderfully tranquil home. Several times a year, the nuns at the Nhan Ai Orphanage arrange to assist poor communities in their area.
