In mid-March 2020 we had a lovely visit to the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children. With the corona virus active in the region, the orphanages and charity homes are taking extra precautions to keep the children safe. One of those measures is limiting visits, and we wanted to make sure Thua Sai had all the essential supplies and foodstuff during this difficult time.

We spoke with the nuns and made a list of their most pressing needs. On this visit, our team wore protective face masks as an extra layer of precaution. We brought boxes of instant noodles, packages of white noodles, bottles of soy sauce, packages of milk, seasonings, dish soap, laundry detergent, and kitchen supplies including glasses and pots.

We handed out balloons to the children, and the make it a festive visit, handed out slices of cake. Everyone had lots of fun!

This wonderful gift was made possible through the kindness of a family in the USA. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE THUA SAI HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN

Located in a peaceful country setting in Cam Ranh, to the south of Nha Trang, Thua Sai offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving home to these wonderful children.
