In early March 2020, we made a charity trip to the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. With the corona virus active in the city, the orphanages and charity homes are taking extra precautions to keep the children safe. One of those measures is limiting visits, and we wanted to make sure they had all the essential supplies and foodstuff during this difficult time.

We spoke with the caretakers and made a list of their most pressing needs. A small group of our volunteers bought everything on the list and visited the orphanage. Our team wore protective face masks as an extra layer of precaution.

The children helped stack everything in the common room. The supplies we brought included cooking oil, condensed milk, seasonings, laundry detergent, dish soap, diapers, and other necessities. To lift the children’s spirts, we handed out balloons and ice cream popsicles, and there were smiles all around.

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of KTD Services LLC, Dane Sawmiller, Daniel Cold, Suruchi Khemka, Cathy Nguyen, and Scott Huynh. Thank you!!!
