This March, we were delighted to return to the Thien An Charity Home for our monthly visit. These trips are more than just deliveries; they are a chance to reconnect with the children and ensure the home has exactly what it needs to thrive.

After consulting with the dedicated caretakers to identify their most urgent requirements, we loaded up the van with a full stock of essentials.

This Month’s Supplies:

We focused on a mix of nutritious staples and daily necessities, including:

  • Pantry Staples: Large bags of rice, packages of noodles, boxes of pho, and cooking oil.
  • Protein & Dairy: Sausages, yogurt, and both fresh and packaged milk.
  • Flavor & Hygiene: Seasonings, chili sauce, dishwashing liquid, and cleaning supplies.

A Sweet Surprise

To make the day extra special, we brought along a variety of treats from a local bakery. Seeing the children’s faces light up as we handed out slices of cake was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip!

The afternoon wrapped up with pure, simple joy: the kids burned off some energy on the courtyard playground, while a few creative souls found endless entertainment playing with the leftover delivery boxes.

With Gratitude

None of this would be possible without your continued kindness. A huge thank you to our donors Steven Burger, Jef O’Riley, and Florian De Rop for helping the children at Thien An.

ABOUT THE THIEN AN CHARITY HOME AND SCHOOL

This loving place is located in the hilly countryside of Khanh Hoa province. There are very few schools in this region and illiteracy among children is high. The local Thien An Catholic Church sought to help the children complete their schooling, so started the Thien An Charity Home and School. The children have housing accommodations and receive their meals in a communal dining hall. Classrooms have been set up so the children can all receive the education they richly deserve.
