In March 2021 we organized a fun visit to the Thien Tam Orphanage. We had spoken to the caretakers and made a detailed list of items they needed. Our team bought everything in Nha Trang, loaded up a van, and drove out to the orphanage.
The children helped carry everything into the common room, then gathered together to sing thank you songs. We brought bags of white rice, bags of sweet rice, meats, bottles of cooking oil, fish sauce, soy sauce, boxes of ramen noodles, packages of glass noodles, canned fish, seasonings, peanuts, and vegetables.
Next, the children sat at the communal table and we handed out yummy aloe vera drinks. It was a lovely visit!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 13 young children.
