In June 2021 we had a fun visit with the children at the Suoi Dau Charity Home. As with many of our other causes, the region where the home is located is very poor, and all the children come from low-income households. The caretakers provide meals to the children in their care, and we wanted to give the children’s families extra support in these difficult times.

We spoke to the caretakers about how we could help the families, and they provided a detailed list of essential foods. When we arrived, the children helped carry everything to the courtyard steps. Our team then prepared sweet drinks with fruity chunks for everyone. So yummy!

We then presented each child with a care package of food that included dried fish, ramen noodles, rice, fish sauce, glass noodles, seasonings, soy sauce, and cooking oil. It was a lovely visit.

This charity trip was made possible through the kindhearted donations from Bichlien Nguyen, Linh Lam, KTD Services LLC, Amazon Smile, Andrew Perovich, and Hanh Duong. Thank you!!!

The Suoi Dau Charity Home is located in Suoi Dau district near Suoi Cat, which are both poor communities to the west of Nha Trang composed of rural farming hamlets that live in poverty. The Suoi Dau Charity Home is a loving place that houses and cares for a group of the community’s young boys whose families struggle to support and provide for them. The boys stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall. The boys all come from the ethnic Raglay minority group. Overseen by pastor Dam Nguyen, the caretakers who run the home provide a nurturing environment and ensure the children attend local public schools and provide after-school tutoring lessons.
