In July 2021 we had a great visit with the children at the Phu Quang Orphanage. Due to rising COVID cases, Vietnam is in a severe lockdown. This has made it a challenge for our team to visit the orphanages. We are committed to helping them, so arranged to have food and supplies brought to the orphanage. The nuns and children carried everything into the main common room.

We brought boxes of bags of rice, packages of vegan pho, bags of mushrooms varieties, packages of milk, seasonings, breadcrumbs, rice crackers, bottles of cooking oil, fish sauce, soy sauce, laundry detergent, and fresh fruits including mangoes, oranges, and melons.

They brought out balloons and popsicles and they children played in the common room. Everyone had so much fun!

This charity trip was made possible through a kind donation from a donor in Australia. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE PHU QUANG ORPHANAGE

The Phu Quang Orphanage was founded by Sister Thich Nu Dieu An at the Phu Quang pagoda in the early 2000’s. For many years, the orphanage has been a loving home to a group of orphans and a foster home to neighborhood children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Phu Quang cares for about 15 children in a loving environment.
