In May 2021 we had a great visit with the children at the Dai An Orphanage. We had coordinated with the orphanage’s caretakers ahead of time, and made a detailed list of items the orphanage needed. We did all our shopping at local markets, loaded up a van, and drove out to the orphanage.
When we arrived, the children came out to meet us, and helped carry everything into the common area next to the gardens. On this visit, we brought boxes of ramen, seasonings, peanuts, mung beans, milk, sausages, dish soap, floor soap, and toiletries.
As a nice treat for the children, we then prepared frozen fruit drinks for everyone to enjoy. So refreshing on a hot day!
This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of Scott Huynh and Bichlien Nguyen. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE DAI AN ORPHANAGE
The Dai An Orphanage is located in Cam Ranh district, south of Nha Trang, and cares for approximately 30 young children. It was founded by the same church that runs the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Dai An is in a tranquil countryside locale and has a large facility for the children to grow and play. The caretakers provide a nurturing and loving home for these amazing children. There are also classrooms in the orphanage to provide the children with extra tutoring after school.
