On July 21, 2019 we visited the Song Lo Orphanage with essential supplies. Song Lo is a small orphanage to the south of Nha Trang and provides a loving home to a wonderful group of young children. The oldest are teenagers in high school and the youngest is a newborn baby recently left at the orphanage.
We contacted the caretakers to learn of their most pressing needs and organized a visit. We brought cans of sardines, bags of nuts, rice buns, bags of white noodles, packages of instant noodles, infant cereal, packages of yogurt, packages of seasonings, bags of bean varieties, bags of dried mushrooms, sticky rice, dried tofu, shampoo, towels, and some school supplies, comic books, and toys for the children.
The children gathered in the orphanage’s common room and had fun with their toys. Then the children helped carry everything inside. It was a lovely visit!
