In mid-November 2020 we had a fun visit with the children at the Dai An Orphanage. We had coordinated with the caretakers beforehand and made a detailed list of the orphanage’s current needs. Our team did all the shopping for essential supplies, loaded up a van, and made the drive out to the orphanage.

The children were excellent helpers and carried everything to the patio next to the gardens. On this visit, we brought canned meats, racks of eggs, packages of glass noodles, packages of pho, seasonings, black beans, bottles of sriracha, hangers, fabric softener, and shampoo.

As a treat, we brought all the ingredients for a yummy fruit drink. The orphans helped prepare the drinks in plastic cups, and everyone got to enjoy a sweet cool drink next to the gardens. Such a lovely visit!

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of Sharon Kelly, Stephen Milne, and Scott Huynh. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE DAI AN ORPHANAGE

The Dai An Orphanage is located in Cam Ranh district, south of Nha Trang, and cares for approximately 30 young children. It was founded by the same church that runs the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Dai An is in a tranquil countryside locale and has a large facility for the children to grow and play. The caretakers provide a nurturing and loving home for these amazing children. There are also classrooms in the orphanage to provide the children with extra tutoring after school.
