On February 15, 2020 we had a fun visit with the children at the Dai An Orphanage. We spoke with the nuns and learned of the orphanage’s most pressing needs and organized a trip. Our team bought everything on the nuns’ wish list at local markets, loaded up a van, and made the drive to the orphanage.
The children helped carry everything to the picnic area in the gardens next to the orphanage. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, packages of white noodles, packages of seasonings, cans of soup, brooms, and some snacks for the children. The children blew up balloons and had a fun time in the gardens.
This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of Sharon Kelly, Stephen Milne, and Dzung Nguyen. Thank you!!!
ABOUT THE DAI AN ORPHANAGE
The Dai An Orphanage is located in Cam Ranh district, south of Nha Trang, and cares for approximately 30 young children. It was founded by the same church that runs the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Dai An is in a tranquil countryside locale and has a large facility for the children to grow and play. The caretakers provide a nurturing and loving home for these amazing children. There are also classrooms in the orphanage to provide the children with extra tutoring after school.
