In September 2022 we had a fun visit to the Suoi Dau Charity Home that was all about education. We had reached out to the home’s caretakers and let them know that we would be sponsoring all the education costs for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. They were thrilled!
Our team arrived at the home with all the education supplies plus our standard monthly allotment of food and other essentials. For the children’s education, we bought new school uniforms, textbooks, school supplies, backpacks, sandals, and paid all school fees.
Food and other supplies for the month included toothpaste, seasonings, dish soap, cooking oil, jello, mushrooms, peanuts, sausages, ramen, flour, macaroni noodles, rice crackers, detergent, door mats, kitchen supplies, and cleaning supplies.
The children put on their uniforms and had fun with some balloon animals we brought. Finally, we served up sweet drinks for everyone to enjoy. So fun!

ABOUT THE SUOI DAU CHARITY HOME
The Suoi Dau Charity Home is located in Suoi Dau district near Suoi Cat, which are both poor communities to the west of Nha Trang composed of rural farming hamlets that live in poverty. The Suoi Dau Charity Home is a loving place that houses and cares for a group of the community’s young boys whose families struggle to support and provide for them. The boys stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall. The boys all come from the ethnic Raglay minority group. Overseen by pastor Dam Nguyen, the caretakers who run the home provide a nurturing environment and ensure the children attend local public schools and provide after-school tutoring lessons.
