It’s the start of the school year, which means many education costs for the orphanages. We contacted the head nun at the Phu Quang Orphanage and told her that we would sponsor the children’s education this year. She was so happy! This includes buying new school uniforms, textbooks, school supplies, backpacks, sandals, and paying school fees.
We combined this project with our regular monthly visit, where we brought food and general supplies, including bags of rice, boxes of ramen, and bottles of cooking oil.
The children made fun decorations to celebrate the start of the new school year, and everyone had fruit juice and mooncakes. It was a lovely visit!

ABOUT THE PHU QUANG ORPHANAGE
The Phu Quang Orphanage was founded by Sister Thich Nu Dieu An at the Phu Quang pagoda in the early 2000’s. For many years, the orphanage has been a loving home to a group of orphans and a foster home to neighborhood children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Phu Quang cares for just under 15 children in a loving environment.
