On September 11, 2018 we visited the Thien Tam Orphanage to sponsor the education of all the children for the upcoming school year. School costs can be high for the orphanages, as they must pay for textbooks, school supplies, school uniforms, and pay school fees for all the orphans. The caretakers at Thien Tam had provided us with the exact amounts they would need for the year, and our team drove out to sponsor the children’s education and celebrate the occasion.
The children put on their school uniforms for our visit, and after gathering with their school books, performed a fun dance that they had learned in school. We brought ice cream for the children, so they quickly changed out of their nice school uniforms and gathered in the common room for a fun after-dinner treat.
