In August 2022 we made our first visit to the Ngoc Van Orphanage. The orphanage is located in the Ninh Van district, 2 hours north of our base of operations in Nha Trang. When our lead coordinator Mai Khanh learned about the orphanage, she wanted to organize our first trip to get to know the children. We got the contact information for the orphanage and spoke with the nuns. They told us some items the children were in need of and we made the long drive to the orphanage.
The children greeted our team when they arrived and helped carry the provisions inside. We brought bottles of cooking oil, baby formula, dish soap, diapers, laundry detergent, sandals, toys, and snacks.
The children were eager to put on their new sandals and dove into the toys. We also made sweet drinks for everyone to enjoy.
