In April 2021 we brought two new computers to the Suoi Dau Charity Home. In addition to being a foster home to young boys, the caretakers at Suoi Dau make it a place of study and learning. The children receive tutoring lessons after school, and the home has computers for learning (and the occasional game). When we asked the caretakers if they had any special requests, they asked for 2 replacement computers. Their old computers had begun to fail, and we were happy to bring them this special gift.

Our team arrived at the home with the computers, and the children watched as we set them up. As a nice treat, our team handed out fresh watermelon slices for everyone to enjoy on a hot day.

This special gift came from the family of Dr Chad & Kim-Loan McDuffie and their children Delaney, Keagan & Anderson. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE SUOI DAU CHARITY HOME

The Suoi Dau Charity Home is located in Suoi Dau district near Suoi Cat, which are both poor communities to the west of Nha Trang composed of rural farming hamlets that live in poverty. The Suoi Dau Charity Home is a loving place that houses and cares for a group of the community’s young boys whose families struggle to support and provide for them. The boys stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall. The boys all come from the ethnic Raglay minority group. Overseen by pastor Dam Nguyen, the caretakers who run the home provide a nurturing environment and ensure the children attend local public schools and provide after-school tutoring lessons.
