On April 17, 2018 we brought lots of kitchen supplies to the Suoi Cat Charity Home and School. Suoi Cat is a poor community to the west of Nha Trang, composed of rural farming hamlets that live in poverty. The Suoi Cat Charity Home and School is a loving place that houses and cares for many of the community’s children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. The home is composed of young children and teenage girls, who stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall.
We had asked the caretakers what they needed, and they gave us a detailed list of items. We brought lots of brand new cups, trays, assorted bowls, plates, a strainer, a gas stove, large pots, silverware, buckets, and a water cooker. Our team handed out snacks to the girls, and then they set up ceramic statues and paints and had a fun craft party. The girls had so much fun being creative with the paints, and then proudly showed off their creations afterward.
This visit was made possible through a donation from the BEI Foundation.
Thank you!!!
