On June 11, 2010 we went to the Kim Son Charity School with books and school supplies for the upcoming school year. Mr. Khuong Long of Saskatchewan, Canada discovered our website, and said that he wanted to help the children of Nha Trang while he and his family were visiting. We visited Sister Phuc earlier in the week, and she gave us a list of school books and supplies that the 82 children will need when classes resume in July.
The generosity of Khuong knew no bounds, and he bought all of the books necessary for the entire school year, for every one of the 82 children. He also paid for school uniforms for the children and made a donation to the regular expenses of the school. It was a fun afternoon, made all the more so when Khuong surprised the students of the Kim Son Vocational School with “lucky money” envelopes. We thank Khuong and his family, both here in Vietnam and in Canada, for their kindness and generosity.
