Our team had a great visit to the Ngoc Van Orphanage in August 2025. We were able to deliver lots of food and supplies for the month and continued supporting the children’s education.
We contacted the caretakers to learn what to bring this month, and our team of volunteers bought everything at local markets. This included fish sauce, oyster sauce, instant porridge, packages of noodles, lots of milk, cheese, seasonings, and new wardrobes. Last month, we brought new textbooks and school supplies for the children. We continued supporting their education by bringing new school uniforms, backpacks, footwear, and paying general school costs. The children were quick to try on their new uniforms!
As a treat, we also handed out popsicles for everyone to enjoy. It was a lovely day!
This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations from Luanne Lemmer, Hiep Nguyen, Bellisa Bui, David and Trini Nguyen, Roger Puckett, Nicole Londt, Vanessa Nguyen, several anonymous donors, and a donation in memory of Hue Hao Nguyen.
ABOUT THE NGOC VAN ORPHANAGE
Located in the northern part of Khanh Hoa province, the Ngoc Van Orphanage was founded in 2020 after a big storm hit central Vietnam. There were many deaths from the storm, and several orphans were brought to the Ngoc Van Pagoda to be cared for by the monks there. Since then, the orphanage has grown and now cares for about 20 small children.
