On August 4, 2018 we visited the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Sunflower cares for a group of teenage orphans and several babies, and is a loving home for these children. We contacted the caretakers to learn their most pressing needs. In addition to requiring some essential supplies, the caretakers told us that they were also working on getting the children prepared for the new school year.
When our team arrived, we brought boxes of noodles, bags of beans, seasonings, shampoo and soaps, baby wipes, laundry detergent, and brooms. We also brought new school uniforms for all the children. Some of the children immediately tried on their new uniforms. They look great! We also handed out balloons and snacks to have some fun with the children.
