In early September 2020 we had a lovely visit to the Dai An Orphanage. We had spoken to the orphanage’s caretakers ahead of time and made a detailed list of their current needs. Our team did all the shopping at local markets and drove out to make a visit.
The children helped carry everything to the outdoor courtyard next to the orphanage’s gardens and stacked up all of the provisions. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, bottles of soy sauce, bottles of fish sauce, racks of eggs, packages of noodles, meats, seasonings, peanuts, toothpaste, laundry detergent, and brooms.
As a refreshing treat on the hot day, our lead coordinator Mai Khanh opened up a cooler filled with ice cream of different flavors and cones, and it turned into an ice cream party. So fun!
This charity trip was made possible through the kindhearted donations of Sharon Kelly, Stephen Milne, and Scott Huynh. Thank you!!!
