On December 23, 2018 we combined several occasions into one fun visit at the Thien Tam Orphanage. Thien Tam is a loving home to a small group of orphans, located just to the south of Nha Trang. We contacted the caretakers about making a visit and learned of their most pressing needs. In addition to general foodstuff, we wanted to bring the children some Christmas cheer. There were also several birthdays to celebrate, so it proved to be a very fun trip.
For general foodstuff, we brought bags of rice, bags of bean varieties, frozen meats, and snacks. We held a birthday party for 3 of the children, complete with presents, a cake, and party supplies. One of our volunteers dressed as Santa, and all the children received Christmas presents. Everyone sat around the table and opened their presents, then all the children got to have some birthday cake. So fun!
The general foodstuff for the orphanage and the Christmas presents were made possible through the kindness of a family in the USA.
