In May 2024 we brought lots of food to the Thien Tam Orphanage, then had a birthday party for the children. We had reached out to the caretakers to learn what items we could bring for the month. They provided us with a detailed list of food and general supplies, and our team went to local markets to buy all the provisions. We also learned that 4 of the children had recent birthdays, so arranged a fun party for everyone.
On the day of the visit, we loaded up a van and made the drive out to the orphanage. We brought bags of rice, boxes of instant noodles, meats, fish, shrimp, sugar, cooking oil, seasonings, milk, yogurt, and cleaning products.
Next, we brought out birthday cakes and presents for the children to share. It was a great visit!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for a small group of adolescents.
