In March 2022 we had a birthday party at the Thien Tam Orphanage. We had gotten in touch with the orphanage caretakers and asked what the orphanage needed this month. They provided us with a detailed list of items, and our team bought everything at local markets before coming out to visit the orphanage.
We brought bags of rice, packages of instant soup, glass noodles, brown sugar, seasonings, condensed milk, bottles of cooking oil, oyster sauce, meats, boxes of ramen, floor soap, hand soap, dish soap, and laundry detergent.
We learned that two of the children had birthdays this month. We surprised the children with a birthday party with cake and presents. It was a very fun day!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 13 young children.
