On March 30, 2019 we visited the Khanh Son Charity Home with essential foodstuff. Located in the mountainous area to the southwest of Nha Trang, the Khanh Son Charity Home is a loving place that houses and cares for many of the community’s children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Some of the children stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall. The nuns provide a nurturing environment for all, ensure the children attend local public schools, and offer free daycare, kindergarten, and after-school tutoring lessons.
We contacted the nuns to learn of the most pressing needs, and they requested general foodstuff. We brought bags of rice, boxes of noodles, cooking oil, snacks, and some books and games. Many of the children were still in their school uniforms, and thoroughly enjoyed the books and games. It was lunchtime at the Home, and the children helped prepare the meal and sat in the dining hall.
This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations of KTD Services LLC, Peper Proofreading LLC, Molly Phillips, Suruchi Khemka, and Dan, Van, and Devin Haynes.
Thank you!!!
