In early September 2020 we had a lovely visit with the children of the Phu Quang Orphanage. We had reached out to the nuns at the orphanage and made a detailed list of their current needs. Our team shopped at local markets and brought everything on the list. On this visit, we brought a variety of fresh vegetables, bottles of soy sauce, vegan fish, vegan pork, vegan chicken, vegan beef, new dishes, laundry detergent, a bicycle pump, and toiletries. In preparation for the new school year, we also brought all the textbooks and school supplies that the children will need.
As a fun treat, we prepared a sweet drink for all the children to enjoy. Everyone sat in a circle in the common room and had fun with their cool yummy drinks. Such a wonderful visit!

ABOUT THE PHU QUANG ORPHANAGE
The Phu Quang Orphanage was founded by Sister Thich Nu Dieu An at the Phu Quang pagoda in the early 2000’s. For many years, the orphanage was a loving home to a group of orphans and a foster home to neighborhood children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. Phu Quang is a small orphanage, and cares for just under 15 children in a loving environment.
