In November 2023 we had a great visit to the Hy Vong Home for Disabled Children. We had contacted the caretakers beforehand and made a detailed list of items they needed for the month. Our team of volunteers in Nha Trang then bought everything at local markets, loaded up a van, and made the drive north to Hy Vong.
When we arrived, the children were playing on the playground equipment in the main courtyard. Our team stacked all the provisions inside. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of instant noodles, milk, yogurt, packages of dried shrimp sausages, glass noodles, penne noodles, sugar, canned meat, cooking oil, eggs, seasonings, and floor soap.
As a fun treat, we gave the nuns at the home all the ingredients to flan with boba and jellies for all the children to enjoy. It was a lovely visit!

ABOUT THE HY VONG HOME FOR DISABLED CHILDREN
Located in the Suoi Cat district to the west of Nha Trang, the Hy Vong Home for Disabled Children offers a home and school for children with neurological disorders and disabilities whose parents cannot afford the specialized care their children require. The nuns and caretakers teach the children in classrooms on the grounds, and it is a loving and caring environment for a group of amazing children.
