In October 2021 we had a great visit with the children at the Suoi Cat Charity Home. Due to COVID travel restrictions, our team was unable to make in-person visits for many months. It was so fun to see the children again!

We had spoken with the caretakers and made a detailed list of items they needed, including items the children would need for the upcoming school year. When we arrived, we stacked everything in from of the home next to the gardens. We brought bags of sweet rice, milk, varieties of instant noodle soup, condensed milk, a box of dried fish, seasonings, coco powder, sausages, hot sauce, dish soap, detergent, and all the textbooks and shoes for the school year.

As a fun treat, our team prepared yummy fruit dishes for everyone to enjoy. It was a lovely visit!

This charity trip was made possible through the kindhearted donations from the family of Dr Chad & Kim-Loan McDuffie and their children Delaney, Keagan & Anderson. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE SUOI CAT CHARITY HOME

Suoi Cat is a poor community to the west of Nha Trang, composed of rural farming hamlets that live in poverty. The Suoi Cat Charity Home is a loving place that houses and cares for many of the community’s children whose families struggle to support and provide for them. The home is composed of young children and teenage girls, who stay at the home year-round, sleep in dormitories, and have meals together in a communal dining hall. The children attend public school and receive tutoring and extra lessons at the home.
