In May 2023 we had a fun visit with the children at the Ngoc Van Orphanage. We had reached out to the caretakers to learn what items they needed this month. We took down a detailed list and bought everything at local markets. On the day of our visit, our team of volunteers loaded up a van and made the drive north to the orphanage.

When we arrived, the children were playing on the playsets in the main courtyard. So adorable! We brought all the supplies inside and the children gathered together.

On this visit, we brought boxes of ramen, milk, yogurt drinks, canned fish, laundry detergent, floor soap, and 2 hot water cookers.

As a fun treat, we handed out slices of sweet cake for all the children to enjoy. It was a lovely day!

This charity trip was made possible through the kind donations from David and Trini Nguyen, Tuan Nguyen, Bichlien Nguyen, Hung Pham, Linh Lam, Vanessa Nguyen, Alysha Sims, and Songloc Dao. Thank you!!!

ABOUT THE NGOC VAN ORPHANAGE

Located in the northern part of Khanh Hoa province, the Ngoc Van Orphanage was founded in 2020 after a big storm hit central Vietnam. There were many deaths from the storm, and several orphans were brought to the Ngoc Van Pagoda to be cared for the monks there. Since then, the orphanage has grown and now cares for about 20 small children.
