In June 2023 we had a fun visit to the Thien Tam Orphanage. After speaking with the orphanage caretakers we made a list of items they needed for the month. Our team of volunteers did all the shopping at local markets, loaded up a van, and made the drive out to see the children.
When we arrived, we brought everything into the main courtyard and all the children gathered together to greet us. On this visit, we brought bags of rice, meats, fish, milk, cooking oil, sugar, soy sauce, sausages, noodles, ramen, mung beans, yogurt, garlic, shallots, eggs, rice paper, shampoo, body wash, and detergent.
Our team stayed a while and had lots of fun with the children. The children showed us their musical instruments, played games, and enjoyed bubble tea drinks. Such a great day!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 12 young children.
