In March 2023 we had a fun visit with the children at the Thien Tam Orphanage. After speaking to the caretakers, our team made a detailed list of food and general supplies to bring this month. We planned out the visit, bought everything at local markets, then drove out to the orphanage.
On this visit, we brought bags of rice, boxes of noodles, milk, yogurt, peanuts, shrimp, cooking oil, seasonings, sugar, seaweed, soy sauce, pork, beef, vegetables, detergent, body wash, dish soap, shampoo, cleaning products, and soccer balls.
Our team prepared sweet treats for everyone to enjoy. Next, the children took their new soccer balls out to the lane in front of the orphanage and played some pickup games. Finally, the children took our volunteers on a tour of the farms behind the orphanage. It was a lovely day!

ABOUT THE THIEN TAM ORPHANAGE
Founded in 2004, the Thien Tam Orphanage lies 20 minutes south of Nha Trang’s city center, in Phuoc Dong ward. The orphanage is run by Nguyen Dinh Chi and his wife Nguyen Thi Kim Lien. A former orphan himself, Chi set up the orphanage in his home as a place of love and sanctuary for orphans in the community. They currently care for 12 young children.
