In mid-November 2020 we had a fun visit with the children at the Sunflower Orphanage. We spoke with the caretakers ahead of time to learn of the orphanage’s current needs. We made a detailed list of essential foodstuff and supplies, bought everything at local markets, and drove to the orphanage in downtown Nha Trang.

On this visit, we brought sweet rice, peanuts, instant pho, milk, cooking oil, napkins, markers, and toiletries.

The children were excellent helpers and stacked all the supplies in the main common room. Our team of volunteers then prepared a yummy treat of milk tea with sweet jelly chunks, and the children enjoyed a cool snack. Our team spent some more time with the children. Some did some sweeping in the outer courtyard while others played basketball. Finally, it was lunchtime and all the children gathered in the main dining hall. It was a lovely visit!

This visit was made possible through a donation from the BEI Foundation. Thank you!!!
