On January 31, 2016 we brought our monthly supply of healthy food to the Loc Tho Charity School and Orphanage, and handed out gift bags to all of the students for Tet, the Vietnamese lunar new year. The healthy food supplements were provided by Lloyd and Esther, who continue to supply Loc Tho with nutritious food for the children.

The Tet gifts were made possible through a kind donation by Larry and Hang Pacey. The students at Loc Tho all come from poor families, and while Tet is the biggest holiday of the year, many of these families cannot buy traditional items to ring in the new year. It’s customary on Tet to offer guests traditional food and drink, which helps bring luck for the new year. With this donation, each child had a bag containing a large ‘Banh Tet’ roll, soda, and packages of traditional delicacies, which will help bring joy to the poor families of Loc Thi this new year.

On behalf of the children, our thanks to all who made this trip possible!
