On September 5, 2014 we brought new school supplies to the Kim Son Charity School. The fifth of September marks the first day of school in Vietnam, and the children of the Kim Son Charity School were ready for class. Through the generosity of Alan and Anne Dickenson of Australia, we were able to bring new school uniforms, school books, school supplies, and some fun snacks to commemorate the day. Our volunteers Ngoc, Loan, and Nhan brought out all of the supplies and handed them out to the children.

The Kim Son Charity School provides free primary schooling for neighborhood children whose families cannot afford the costs of sending their children to public schools. On this day, the nuns of the Kim Son pagoda made speeches to start the school year off, and everyone had lots of fun.

Thank you Alan and Anne for making today so special, and for your continued support of Vietnam’s poorest children.
