On October 2, 2017 we visited the Sunflower Orphanage with fun gifts for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Sunflower cares for teenage orphans in the heart of Nha Trang, and is the sister orphanage to Dai An, which cares for younger orphans in the countryside to the south. The Mid-Autumn Festival is a favorite holiday amongst children, as there are special treats such as mooncakes, and lanterns to decorate and carry around in the evening. Our team came during lunchtime, and handed out sweats and mooncakes to the children. Some school items from a previous visit were delivered the same day, and the orphans gathered around their common room to receive their many Mid-Autumn Festival lanterns. They unpacked and assembled the colorful lanterns, held them up proudly, and began decorating the orphanage. It was a fun holiday party!

This visit was made possible through the kind donations of the McDuffie family and a kind donor in New Jersey, USA.

Thank you!!!
