On October 16, 2014 we helped pay the school fees at the Mai Am Nhan Ai Orphanage. This was our second visit sponsored by Chau Nguyen of the USA, who had already brought generous foodstuff to the Thua Sai Home for Disabled Children. Chau had contacted us about helping the children of Vietnam, and we contacted the nuns at Nhan Ai to learn what their most pressing needs were.

Nhan Ai cares for about 90 children, and sends all of the school-aged children to public schools. The costs of uniforms, books, supplies and school fees are all paid for by the orphanage, who survives solely through donations. The nuns told us that they could use help with this year’s school costs, so we arranged a visit to bring Chau’s donation to them.

The children always enjoy having visitors, and we brought snacks and balloons to make the occasion more festive. Chau’s donation made a huge impact in supporting the orphans’ education. Thank you!
