On December 8, 2012 we made our first visit to the Dai An Orphanage. Our amazing team of volunteers discovered another orphanage that we hadn’t known about before. Located south of Nha Trang, in Cam Ranh, this loving home cares for over 30 children in the Phuoc Dong hamlet. Our coordinator, Carrie Rach, brought friends and colleagues from the APC international school with a car full of donations. Organized by her husband, Justin Menzies, all donations were made possible by the heartfelt contribution of Shay Ruggles and the people at Carbon8 Marketing in Denver, Colorado.

Shay and others from Carbon8 had come to Vietnam earlier in 2012, and made a visit to the Mai Am Nhan Ai Orphanage in Cam Ranh. After they had left, she made a very generous contribution to Lovingkindness Vietnam. On our trip to the Dai An Orphanage, we brought bags of rice, boxes of noodles, and other essential foodstuff. As this was our first visit, our team spent time with the caregivers, and played with the children on this wonderful day.

Thank you Shay and Carbon8 for your kindness, and making a difference at improving the lives of the orphans of Vietnam. You can visit their website here: http://www.carbon-8.com/. You can see some pictures of Carbon8’s previous visit to the Mai Am Nhan Ai Orphanage at the bottom of this page.
