In December 2016 we brought Christmas to the Sunflower Orphanage in Nha Trang. Sunflower is a loving home to teenage orphans, located in the heart of Nha Trang. Dependent upon donations, we asked the caretakers what their most pressing needs were at this time. They were desperately in need of basic essentials, and also wished to give the children something special this holiday season.
Our team came to the orphanage and threw a Christmas party. The essentials that we brought included bags of rice, boxes of noodles, beans, seasonings, towels and washcloths, and lots of laundry and cleaning supplies. For the children, we handed out presents that included toys, clothes, and fun knickknacks. Everyone donned Santa hats and it was a wonderful party.
